About The Position

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher to lead a Kindergarten–1st Grade instructional classroom serving approximately 10 students. This is a full-time, school-year position supporting young learners with a range of learning needs in a structured, inclusive, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in individualized instruction, a strong understanding of IEP implementation, and a commitment to fostering both academic and social-emotional growth. You’ll work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to ensure each child receives the support and encouragement they need to thrive. In this role, you will teach foundational literacy, math, and social-emotional skills in a supportive, cross-categorical environment. You will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that promote measurable growth while creating structured routines and positive behavior supports tailored to early learners. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with colleagues and families to ensure consistent communication and teamwork. Additionally, you will track student progress and celebrate milestones along the way.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• LBS1 endorsement
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Classroom management skills
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom culture
