About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher to support a Kâ1 cross-categorical classroom in Michigan for the remainder of this school year. This full-time role involves working with a small caseload of approximately 10 students and is well suited for an educator who values teamwork, individualized instruction, and inclusive practices. In this position, youâll provide structured, developmentally appropriate instruction that supports academic progress, social-emotional development, and positive behavior. Youâll create a nurturing classroom environment where young learners feel safe, supported, and motivated to succeed. The role also emphasizes collaborationâyouâll work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to implement effective strategies and ensure each studentâs needs are met consistently across settings.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold a valid Michigan teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement (cross-categorical or equivalent).
- A bachelorâs or masterâs degree in Special Education is required
- Prior experience in instructional or self-contained classroom settings is strongly preferred.
