About The Position

At Syngenta, we invite you to help us shape the future of agriculture. As a world market leader in crop protection, we are dedicated to helping farmers counter various threats to ensure a safe, nutritious, and affordable food supply for all, while minimizing the use of land and other agricultural inputs. The Crop Protection team is headquartered in Switzerland and is committed to keeping plants safe from planting to harvesting. This includes protecting crops from weeds, insects, diseases, and environmental challenges such as droughts, floods, heat, and cold. The Field Development team is currently seeking an intern in the Southern region to support our mission. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry and engage in real projects that provide tangible solutions. This internship is designed to offer considerable wages, ongoing career development resources, and the chance to work on meaningful, creative projects that address real-world problems. We pride ourselves on a culture that celebrates diversity and inclusion, promotes professional development, and offers flexible work options to accommodate both work and personal needs. During your internship, which is estimated to last from May 2025 to August 2025, you will gain a thorough understanding of Syngenta and the crop protection product development process. You will support various Crop Protection Field Development activities, including trial implementation, maintenance, and data capture in field, greenhouse, and lab settings. Additionally, you will identify personal development opportunities, learn essential processes and skills for product and technology development, and understand the role of Crop Protection Field Development in sales, marketing, and agronomy. You will also manage a project under the guidance of Crop Protection Field Development scientists and deliver a summary presentation of your internship experience to stakeholders. Monthly performance discussions with your manager will enable continuous growth and improvement throughout your internship.
