About The Position

GROWMARK is an agricultural cooperative serving almost 400,000 customers across North America, providing agronomy, energy, facility engineering and construction, and logistics products and services, as well as grain marketing and risk management services. The position assists with the implementation and communication of Crop Protection marketing plans, educates crop protection customers on the generic offerings, and coordinates with customers the GROWMARK Crop Protection private label offerings in addition to the proprietary adjuvant brand. The role involves developing and conducting training around Crop Protection products and tools at the retail level while achieving budgeted growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • Normally requires a college degree in business, marketing, or equivalent.
  • 3 years or more of marketing leadership experience, preferably in the Crop Protection Industry.
  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a United States Passport.
  • Willingness to participate in required training related to the position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Crop Protection's long-term and annual marketing plans/strategies.
  • Communicate the overall crop protection branded, generic and specialty product message across all core and expanded territories.
  • Lead the promotion of GROWMARK Crop Protection products and services consistent with business plans.
  • Develop and implement marketing inputs into annual sales and gross margin projections.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities while working with the FS Member.
  • Maintain relationships at the local level with vendors and implement vendor marketing programs.
  • Analyze major competitors in the marketplace and provide market intelligence information to GROWMARK.
  • Provide leadership for the development and implementation of all Crop Protection, Adjuvant training and support needs.
  • Initiate sales calls with FS Members and build relationships to assist in promoting crop protection brands.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all sales, information, and operational needs of the FS member and prospects.
