Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with anesthesia emphasis.
  • Active RN and APRN-CRNA licenses in good standing.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
  • At least three years of prior experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced anesthesia and critical nursing knowledge.
  • General medical terminology knowledge.
  • Demonstrated patient care skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods; speak and hear with or without accommodations; use hands for handling, reaching, and fine motor tasks; lift/move up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 25 lbs occasionally; push up to 300 lbs; and maintain required vision abilities including close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide anesthesia care for surgical and medical procedures.
  • Perform pre-anesthetic preparation and comprehensive patient evaluations.
  • Select and administer the appropriate anesthesia for each patient.
  • Stay current on advances in anesthesia, equipment, and techniques.
  • Ensure accurate patient identification and complete health histories.
  • Request and evaluate diagnostic tests.
  • Complete all annual mandatory training.
  • Document patient visits and findings.
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and necessary gases.
  • Manage airway and respiratory status throughout procedures.
  • Provide invasive and non-invasive peri-anesthetic monitoring.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
