About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens CRNA (Nurse Anesthetist) position located in Syracuse, NY, covering both inpatient and outpatient service settings. The role is supplemental and has a coverage period starting June 2026 and continuing indefinitely. The work is clinical only, encompassing coverage in the Operating Room (OR), Endoscopy unit, Cardiac lab, and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). Shifts are 10 hours, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, serving patients aged 16 and above. The facility operates 15 ORs and 4 ASCs and is designated as a Level II Trauma center. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is Epic. The anesthesia care team (ACT) model involves supervision with a 1:4 MD ratio, and a 1:2 ratio for cardiac cases, indicating that an MD is not always present in the room. Blocks are not required for this position. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
