About The Position

As a CRNA at SFSDSC, you’ll handle patient preparation, deliver anesthesia, manage airway and respiratory needs, and provide perioperative monitoring using current standards and techniques. You’ll support a smooth clinical environment while applying strong clinical judgment and compassionate care.

Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree and a graduate from an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia Program (CRNA) required.
  • Current/valid State of Florida CRNA License and NBCRNA certification required.
  • Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, HIV, Domestic Violence, and Preventing Medical Errors continuing education certifications required
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced anesthesia and critical nursing knowledge.
  • General medical terminology knowledge.
  • Demonstrated patient care skills.

Nice To Haves

  • At least three years of prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide anesthesia care for surgical and medical procedures.
  • Perform pre-anesthetic preparation and comprehensive patient evaluations.
  • Select and administer the appropriate anesthesia for each patient.
  • Stay current on advances in anesthesia, equipment, and techniques.
  • Ensure accurate patient identification and complete health histories.
  • Request and evaluate diagnostic tests.
  • Complete all annual mandatory training.
  • Document patient visits and findings.
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and necessary gases.
  • Manage airway and respiratory status throughout procedures.
  • Provide invasive and non-invasive peri-anesthetic monitoring.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
