About The Position
Administers anesthetic care for the purpose of facilitating diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of anesthesia approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
- Must have 2 years of clinical experience working in a physician office
- Certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
- Valid Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Licensed in applicable state within 30 days.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), PALS and NRP (perinatal trust requirement).
Responsibilities
- Performs and documents a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
- Develops and implements an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
- Selects, obtains and administers the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia.
