CRNA opening in strong team environment with UPMC Western Maryland in Cumberland, MD—flexible scheduling Description A voluntary nonprofit hospital with 240 Medicare-certified beds, UPMC Western Maryland is an acute care, short-term facility. Located in the historic downtown area of Cumberland, MD, this hospital is part of the Western Maryland Health System. Awards American Heart Association’s Gold Plus Mission Lifeline Award in NSTEMI, Receiving, Stroke Gold Plus Get With the Guidelines for Stroke Joint Commission Accredited 2021 Platinum Performance Achievement Award for Chest Pain by NCDR Case Assignments Cases include, but are not limited to, Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and OB/GYN with a care team model.CRNA's are encouraged to perform regional blocks at this location. Shifts 8's, 10's, 12's, and 24's (when available). In-house call and beeper call is available. Option to pick up extra shifts. Requirements Responsibilities Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements Current license as a registered professional nurse Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists Lifestyle Cumberland, MD: Located in a northwestern Maryland valley, Cumberland serves as the county seat of Allegany County, which is known as the “mountain side of Maryland.” It’s bordered on one side by the Potomac River, and situated between West Virginia and Pennsylvania, with easy access to Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. Requirements

• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
