About The Position

The position is responsible for the preoperative assessment of patient status and the ordering of preoperative medication under supervision. The CRNA will administer drugs to produce sedation or anesthesia, insert arterial and venous catheters, and monitor the patient during anesthesia until the patient regains consciousness. Additionally, the CRNA is frequently involved with the Code 88 team for resuscitation.

Requirements

• 0 to 3 months of experience
• Current NJ-RN license
• AANA Council eligible/certified
• Minimum requirement of current ACLS
• Maintains CEU status according to AANA Council on Re-Certification
• Confirmation of credentials communicated to hospital Credentials Committee
• APN certification or pending application as required

Nice To Haves

• Previous cardiac anesthesia experience
