About The Position

Lexington Medical Center is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia services for patients of all ages, from birth through geriatrics. The CRNA will work under medical supervision and will be responsible for pre-anesthesia, intra-op anesthesia, post-anesthesia, and emergency airway intervention. The position is part-time with day shift hours and offers a sign-on bonus of $20,000.

Requirements

• Current RN licensed in the state of South Carolina.
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina.
• Board certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthesia Council on Certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care under the direction of a supervising anesthesiologist.
• Administer regional anesthetics with permission from the attending anesthesiologist.
• Perform pre-operative preparation and evaluation.
• Manage patient airway and pulmonary status using current practice modalities.
• Facilitate smooth induction, case management, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Respond appropriately to emergency conditions and situations.
• Participate in post-anesthesia assessment and department quality assurance program.
• Follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
