About The Position

Explore an exciting opportunity with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist as we eagerly welcome a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dynamic Outpatient Anesthesia Team in Winston Salem, NC. The CRNA will play a key role in team-focused patient care, providing anesthesia using safe and quality techniques during Inpatient Procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: mentoring Student Nurse Anesthetists, determining appropriate patient care plans, collaborating with the medical team, upholding patient safety, documenting patient records, and contributing to cost containment efforts. The position offers a flexible work schedule with multiple shift options and the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program, Master’s Degree or Higher Required.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Currently Certified or Recertified to practice as a Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board.
  • Current CPR Certification – ACLS, BLS.
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical competency within the scope of granted privileges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a variety of anesthesia cases including Orthopedic, Vascular, Cardiothoracic, and more.
  • Familiarity with advanced anesthesia techniques and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Precept Student Nurse Anesthetists and mentor medical students.
  • Determine appropriate patient care plans ensuring peri-operative and anesthesia care.
  • Collaborate with the medical team for effective team-based care.
  • Uphold patient safety and drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Document and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
  • Maintain scheduling flexibility and punctuality for timely patient care.
  • Exhibit professionalism through teamwork and ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to cost containment efforts by conserving resources.
