This position is for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who will perform and document preanesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients, develop and implement anesthetic plans, and provide continuous evaluation of patients' physical status. The role requires initiating anesthetic techniques, administering anesthetics and other drugs, and providing postanesthesia care.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (Required)
  • AANA - American Association of Nurse Anesthetists certification.
  • NBCRNA - National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists certification.
  • CRNA - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification.
  • RN - Registered Nurse licensure from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
  • Graduate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
  • Complete the AANA Certification examination.
  • Comply with criteria for biennial re-certification as defined by AANA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document preanesthetic assessment and evaluation.
  • Provide general, regional, local and sedation coverage.
  • Select, obtain and administer anesthetics and other drugs.
  • Facilitate emergency and recovery from anesthesia.
  • Provide postanesthesia care.
  • Implement acute and chronic pain management modalities.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Provide on call coverage as required by the department.
