The Anesthesiology department is diverse, consisting of 14 physicians, over 30 independent-practice CRNAs, and 24 Residents (8-10 daily on site) providing services for up to 16 anesthetizing locations daily to include acute care ORs, cardiac ORs, obstetrics, GI/endo, cath lab, interventional radiology, a hospital ambulatory surgery center, and a new venture with a local orthopedics surgery center. The annual anesthesia case volume is approx. 14,300 cases, consisting of ~ 9,000 surgical cases, 800 cardiac cases, and 2,000 out-of-OR cases in GI, EP lab/Cath Lab, and interventional radiology. This is a unique practice where CRNAs and MDs work independently in an academic environment with an anesthesiology residency program.

Requirements

Active state RN and CRNA licenses
Board certification required
ACLS | PALS | BLS

Nice To Haves

Experience is preferred, but motivated new graduates have been very successful in our practice and will be considered.

Responsibilities

CRNAs practice to their full scope of practice and perform regional anesthesia, arterial lines, and central lines
Participation in call is expected (24 hours in-house, 24 hours OB, second call from home)
