About The Position

The CRNA Anesthetist provides anesthesia services at VCU Medical Center for all age groups. VCU Health is an academic medical center and a comprehensive system of care, committed to inventing better care through discovery and empowering quality of life. Requirements

• Current RN license in Virginia
• Current license to practice in specialty area (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist-CRNA) in Virginia
• Current CRNA certification by the National Board on Certification/Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists
• Complete 40 CEU’s every 2 years (for continued employment)
• Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited program specific to area of practice
• Applicants with current advanced practice licensure may be within one semester of graduation from obtaining a MSN Degree or higher, which must be completed within six months of hire to continue employment
• Must possess knowledge of local, federal and state laws and regulations and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards related to position’s chief objective
