About The Position

As a CRMS - Correspondent Banking TM at Barclays, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive financial crime investigations, ensuring compliance with AML regulations, and addressing alerts generated by the transaction monitoring system. This role involves drafting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and managing various investigations related to non-compliance and fraud, ultimately safeguarding the bank's reputation and financial integrity.

Requirements

  • Experience with conducting analysis and assessment of system-generated alerts using internal/external research tools.
  • Experience with manual reviews and special investigations including FinCEN 314(a)/314(b) investigations and Grand Jury Subpoena investigations.
  • Knowledge of AML/CFT and other financial crime risks, red flags, and typologies.
  • Experience in research and/or investigations including Fraud, AML, Credit, or Risk.
  • Knowledge of Correspondent Banking.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end financial crime investigations, including drafting SARs.
  • Address automated alerts generated by the Mantas transaction monitoring system and manual cases from internal and external referrals.
  • Conduct manual reviews and special investigations, including FinCEN 314(a)/314(b) investigations and Grand Jury Subpoena investigations.
  • Draft and present SARs for potential filing, preparing corresponding SAR forms.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with non-compliance or unethical conduct and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead investigations into alleged violations of policies, regulations, or laws.
  • Provide training programs to enhance awareness of compliance issues and ethical conduct among colleagues.
  • Document investigation processes and provide recommendations for corrective actions and improvements based on findings.
  • Utilize advanced technology and data analytics tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of investigations.
  • Fulfill any necessary external legal and/or regulatory reporting obligations.
