CBEM brings lasting, positive changes to the individuals with developmental disabilities we serve, some of whom experience mental illness. Our process begins with observations from which we design a comprehensive plan. It continues on as we teach our clients and their circle of support how to obtain positive, sustainable outcomes. The Critical Intervention Specialist will provide support to individuals in crisis; preventative, acute, or chronic crisis management. The role includes developing a Stabilization Plan and Case Review, consulting with a Psychiatrist, BCBA, and Psychologist, participating in a hotline rotation to address acute crisis calls, and participating in clinical trainings and interdisciplinary planning meetings.
