  • Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues.
  • Serve as an expert technical resource reporting to a program manager, interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain better than 99.999% uptime for data center equipment supporting mission-critical servers.
  • Meet all requirements of CET2 and possess mechanical and/or electrical OEM factory specific training or experience.
  • Utilize safe working practices including lockout/tagout and good housekeeping methods.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, floor plans, and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot advanced electrical circuits and use hand tools and test equipment for repairs.
  • Perform daily walk-throughs of the facility documenting parameters such as power availability and alarm status.
  • Monitor and make necessary changes to site BAS, following site MOP's & SOP's.
  • Implement site-specific processes and procedures, including procedure creation and review standards.
  • Understand the sequence of operations and the impact of equipment failures on other systems.
  • Lead drills associated with site primary and secondary EOP's.
  • Organize safe maintenance principles for regulating and scheduling activities.
  • Interpret building codes and local and federal regulations as they relate to installations.
  • Coordinate and oversee all critical environment vendors during maintenance and emergency events.
  • Perform periodic technical and quality reviews of all MOPs and SOPs.
  • Collect and generate internal and vendor field service reports.
  • Assist in administration and regulation of the duties of CET1/2.
  • Conduct training with CET1/2 and other staff personnel on electrical equipment/system.
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and operation tasks of utility equipment, solar PV equipment, and/or Cogen equipment.
  • Master all types of mechanical and electrical systems and their interdependencies.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • Possess a Journeyman Electrician License, Journeyman HVAC license or equivalent.
