The Critical Environments Technician (CET) is responsible for monitoring operations and conditions of equipment within the critical facility while conducting routine inspections of the site. CET’s respond and mitigate equipment faults to minimize system down time. Technicians work in teams to set, level and coordinate the power on testing of new racks within the critical facility.

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience in data center or technical facilities with high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Due to customer site access requirements, candidates must successfully complete an enhanced background screening process prior to hire.
  • Strong troubleshooting background.
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiar with MS Office Programs and the ability to utilize CMMS systems.
  • HVAC or Electrical with a Journeyman preferred or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
  • Applicants selected must have a valid U.S. passport or must be able to obtain upon hire for potential international travel

Responsibilities

  • Follow all local and industry safety standards and regulations.
  • Attend daily maintenance meeting to discuss operations
  • Administratively update Computerize Maintenance Management Systems
  • Power, bond, level, move and inspect Data Hall rack equipment
  • Perform routine inspection on specified equipment to verify integrity of systems.
  • Respond to incidents or instrument failures to prevent or minimize system outages.
  • Perform EOP drills on a monthly basis to train for emergency responses.
  • Complete all required safety and equipment training, certifications, and licensing.
  • Complete Risk Assessments prior to performing all maintenance evolutions.
