Infrastructure Services is part of IS&T and the foundation of Apple's global network operations — managing data center equipment and systems to deliver compute, storage, and networking services for teams across Apple, including its internal developer community. From individual facilities to a worldwide network, Infrastructure Services ensures the technology underneath everything works without question. We are actively seeking a Data Center Critical Facilities Technician who is committed to working in a critical environment that values continuous improvement and embraces change! We excel at actively managing and maintaining systems that expand our customer support capabilities, and assist the world with their daily lives. Your role will be pivotal in managing and optimizing critical infrastructure, tackling complex challenges with a problem-solver approach, and driving key projects that improves operational efficiency and scalability. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience in the maintenance and operation of critical infrastructure systems
  • Experience with inspecting, and resolving critical equipment malfunctions
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require sitting, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 75 lbs
  • Capability to work in varying temperature environments (60°F to 110°F) and follow OSHA work-rest cycles
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including 8, 10, and 12-hour day and graveyard shifts, with a readiness for overtime as decided by business needs

Nice To Haves

  • Solid and practical understanding of hyperscale electrical and mechanical systems
  • 4+ years of hands on experience in maintenance and operation of critical infrastructure systems
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA regulations specifically related to data center environments
  • Industry certifications such as Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) or similar
