YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY: The Area Superintendent RCEG works closely with the Division Manager to provide operational oversight and ensure alignment with business objectives. This role requires developing others through mentorship and training, managing processes to maintain efficiency and quality, and understanding the business to support revenue and profitability goals. The Superintendent is a problem solver who anticipates challenges and implements effective solutions while serving as an influential leader who fosters collaboration, drives performance, and promotes a culture of safety and excellence across the team.

Requirements

  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large groups essential.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
  • Minimum of eight years' supervisory experience in similar facility, construction technology, methods and equipment, tools and work procedures required
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, coaching, and developing teams of electricians and project managers.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E, with NICET Level 1 Certification
  • OSHA 30 Certification required
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Maintain monthly labor CAC’s for Division
  • Review & Identify potential gaps, risk or ambiguities in the electrical service scope proposed by Division Manager.
  • Confirm feasibility of service work within client expectations and company capabilities.
  • Advise on manpower availability and scheduling constraints.
  • Engage in daily toolbox talks, PTWP, Starting Out Right (1st 45min)
  • Lead in the implementation of all field training programs
  • Promote employee recognition programs
  • Help techs identify growth paths (Foreman Small Projects, Electrical Services, Technical Projects, Service Coordination) and set development goals.
  • Identify and develop future leaders
  • Promote and instill a culture of Trust, Ownership, and Accountability
  • Work with Project team to make sure their project starts out right, it continues to track well and makes the necessary shifts with key personal to create a “Winning” project team
  • Serve as the visible safety leader for all service technicians
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and company safety policies
  • Conduct safety observations, audits, and incident reviews
  • Reinforce Stop Work Authority and safe decision-making
  • Review & Approve EEW work permits, MOP/SBS/JSA and NFPA 70E compliance.
  • Investigate incidents within 24 to 48 hours; implement corrective actions.
  • Review manpower, crew mix, and install rates weekly coordinate manpower needs with other Area Superintendents.
  • Review submittal approvals and prefab opportunities.
  • Understands newest, cost effective, and efficient way for project to install.
  • Maintain and communicate Best Known Methods and FOK’s (First of Kinds)
  • Work with Foreman to make sure their project starts out right, it continues to track well and makes the necessary shifts with key personal to create a “Winning” project team
  • Ensure QA/QC processes and commissioning plans are in place and followed
  • Work with QAQC manager in creating a QA/QC plan that is right for assigned project and foster a Team Environment
