  • Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency by optimizing power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, and power panels, ensuring a stable and uninterrupted power supply.
  • Provide 24/7 availability for incident response, serving as the primary technical lead for electrical-related issues within assigned buildings, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact on operations.
  • Lead the development, execution, and approval of Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for electrical system failures, ensuring follow-up actions are effectively managed to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee power distribution for assigned buildings, ensuring accurate power availability assessments, validation of deployment tools, and proactive capacity planning.
  • Develop and implement strategies optimize UPS systems to provide reliable backup power and prevent downtime in case of power disruptions.
  • Monitor and optimize power usage to prevent circuit overloads, ensuring efficient and balanced energy distribution throughout the facility.
  • Implement high-efficiency power solutions, including power factor correction and renewable energy integrations, to enhance sustainability and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure all electrical systems meet industry standards and safety regulations, preventing hazards such as arc flashes, short circuits, and electrical fires.
  • Utilize Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) to track energy consumption, Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), and system efficiency in real time.
  • Maintain redundancy strategies, ensuring the facility remains resilient against power failures and over-allocation risks.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct comprehensive power audits to identify single points of failure and enhance system reliability.
  • Work closely with mechanical engineers and site operations teams to ensure a holistic approach to data center management.
  • Own the transition program for new site acceptance into operations including working with the DC Field Ops Build Program Manager to ensure all the punch list items are captured and lined up for correction and closure.
  • Conduct regular audits of sensors and meters to identify calibration needs, ensuring accurate data collection for system monitoring and performance analysis and leverage on the support of the site CE team to achieve this.
  • Prepare electrical systems for seasonal operational demands, optimizing maintenance schedules for peak performance.
  • Drive the planning and execution of electrical equipment lifecycle transitions, maintaining compliance with EOL standards and coordinating with global and regional teams for timely replacement.
