About The Position

The Critical Care Transport Nurse Leader is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the Critical Care Transport Program in Pinellas County. This position ensures the efficient and quality operation of the program, including the design and implementation of departmental goals and policies, coordination of marketing activities, monitoring service quality, and maintaining nursing schedules. The leader will also function as a full-time CCT RN on transport vehicles and assist with quality assurance and improvement programs.

Requirements

• Active Florida Licensed Registered Nurse
• Associate degree or higher in nursing
• Pinellas County CCT Certification - or within 6 months of hire
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current PHTLS, PALS, and NRP certifications - or within 6 months of hire
• Advanced Trauma certification (TNCC, TPATC, ATLS, ATCN) - or within 6 months of hire
• Advanced Nursing Certification (CCRN, CTRN, CFRN) - within 6 months
• Three to five years of experience in ICU/CCU/ER.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in course curriculum, program, and test criteria development.
• Prior critical care transport or ambulance transport experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily oversight of the Critical Care Transport Program.
• Assist in the design, development, planning, and implementation of departmental goals and policies.
• Coordinate CCT marketing activities with healthcare facilities and EMS agencies.
• Monitor the quality of services provided and direct corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintain the CCT nursing schedule to comply with contractual obligations and control overtime.
• Function as a full-time Pinellas County CCT RN on transport vehicles.
• Assist with monthly CCT quality assurance summaries and documentation.
• Establish quality assurance and improvement programs for department functions.
• Ensure contractual certification obligations and accreditations are upheld.
