About The Position

Functions as an integral part of the patient care team, who consistently performs activities related to patient care needs. Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge of technical functions as outlined in the principal accountabilities required in accomplishment of critically ill patient care needs. Manages multiple demands on his/her time to support the activity of the nursing staff, facilitate the timely flow of patient care in the department, and to ensure that the department is stocked and ready to receive and treat patients at all times.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy.
• Ability to read and speak English legibly.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of special equipment used on Critical Care patients (e.g., cooling blankets, Baxter SVO2 monitors, Gastric Tonometers).
• Ability to professionally handle public contact and confidential information.
