About The Position

The Critical Care Supervisor works as an advocate for the physical and emotional wellbeing of both the patient and nursing staff on the Intensive Care Unit. He/she provides orientation, direction, training, educational development, coaching and mentoring to staff in accordance with goals set by the Department Director. They will also assist with competency verification, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Assesses and ensures quality of services delivered, quality assurance studies and assists with the implementation of quality initiatives and measures. The Supervisor serves as a resource to staff, other departments and external contacts. He/she leads the handling and resolution of issues and complaints, assists with the development of policies, as well as ensuring staff compliance with policies/procedures/protocols/ regulations. Requirements

  • Current WA state RN license (or compact license)
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS, ACLS required
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
