About The Position

BrightStar Care of Hunterdon County is seeking a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) with Trach & Vent experience in Califon, NJ. Qualifications: Previous critical care and ICU experience required Current and valid RN License in NJ Vent & Trach experience at least 1yr experience as an RN Driver's License with auto insurance Responsibilities: The Vent Unit Nurse is responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered per physician, monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, patient assessment, monitoring, teaching, and training. Obtains vital signs, temperature, height/length, weight, oxygen saturation and pain scores; reports abnormal values to RN. Obtains other measurements (i.e., head circumference, abdominal girth) per unit standard. Responds to monitor alarms. Exhibits organizational ability related to workflow, prioritizing to meet the patient care needs Prepare and administer medications and review medication cards for completeness and accuracy Integrates current standards of practice as well as local, state, and federal regulations Complete required record keeping in regard to your role in admitting, transferring and discharging residents. Review resident care plans for appropriate resident goals, problems, approaches and revisions based on nursing needs. Chart nurses' notes in an informative and descriptive manner Must be caring, compassionate, have good communication skills, have a positive attitude and be a team player

Requirements

  • Previous critical care and ICU experience required
