Jump-start your career as a PRN Critical Care Pharmacist at Memorial Health University Medical Center in historic Savannah, GA. The Critical Care Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care including computer order entry, drug distribution, evaluation of medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dose, frequency and adequacy of monitoring, evaluation of drug interactions and allergies and therapeutic monitoring of drugs to patients across our ICUs.

  • Coordinate drug distribution activities in areas under their supervision.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and verify medication orders.
  • Resolve medication related problems and prepare parenteral products (IV admixtures, cytotoxic chemotherapeutic).
  • Perform pharmacy clinical activities including pharmacokinetic consults and monitoring targeted drugs.
  • Provide antimicrobial therapy recommendations and evaluate appropriateness of drug therapy.
  • Serve as a source of drug information to medical and nursing staffs.
  • Perform patient care unit inspections as required to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Minimize errors in the medication use process by utilizing S.T.A.R. (Stop, Think, Act and Review) and other error prevention techniques.
  • Pharmacist with a Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Critical Care Residency Training and/or Board Certification in Critical Care Pharmacy is required.
