About The Position

Superior Ambulance Service is seeking Critical Care Paramedics (CCT) for openings in multiple locations including Oshkosh, Kaukauna, Fond Du Lac, Menomonee Falls, Green Bay, Fitchburg, Milwaukee, Mount Pleasant, Janesville, Oak Creek, and Elkhorn. Established in 1959, Superior Ambulance Service is the largest independent, locally owned, and operated emergency medical services provider in the Midwest, employing over 2,500 licensed EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses, and operating a fleet of more than 500 ambulances across several states. The role involves providing safe transportation and quality medical care to sick and injured individuals, adhering to state EMS regulations and ensuring the highest quality care in emergencies and scheduled medical transports.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of ALS experience.
  • State EMT-P License.
  • AHA BLS Certification.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • National Registry Paramedic.
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, & Trauma (PHTLS, ITLS) Certification.
  • FEMA Certifications (100,200,700,800,HazMat).
  • CCEMTP Certification or completion of CCP course with 12 hrs CCT CE annually.
  • Critical Care Transport Board Certification (FP-C or CCP-C).
  • Experience managing ventilators, IV pumps, & chest tubes.
  • Leadership experience (e.g., FTO, PIC, Preceptor, Supervisor).

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality care to patients in the transport environment under the direction of the Program Medical Director and the referring and/or receiving Physician.
  • Evaluate critically ill or injured patients of all age groups and provide therapeutic and emergency interventions.
  • Collaborate with team members including drivers, coworkers, leadership, and other healthcare partners.
  • Assess for and detect changes in patient status and proactively solve patient and family problems.
  • Plan, organize, and position equipment and supplies for emergency conditions.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records and participate in quality assurance programs.
  • Maintain clinical proficiency across all aspects of the Critical Care Division's scope of practice.
  • Perform all physical requirements of the job in confined spaces and adverse environmental conditions.
  • Complete transports within the scheduled shift time, which may require extending beyond normal work hours.
  • Participate in required education programs and maintain all required certifications and licenses.
  • Maintain clinical competency in critical care procedures and equipment.
  • Complete and maintain currency in all areas of safety education.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with all customers and represent the CCT program and Superior Ambulance professionally.
