About The Position
This RN is a certified expert in critical care nursing, and a proficient leader who provides episodic patient care, nursing consultation, and is the nursing leader during Emergency Responses across adult acute care units. The Critical Care Outreach RN is competent in multiple nursing specialties, providing care to diverse patient populations. This clinician is a resource for nursing staff in the recognition and management of decompensating and high acuity patients. A dynamic environment requires the Critical Care Outreach RN to make independent decisions and judgments that support high quality care. The Critical Care Outreach RN manages requests through autonomous triage, negotiation, and prioritization. The individual exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
