About The Position

We are currently hiring for a PRN Critical Care Float Nurse (RN) within the Inpatient Services department here at Aspen Valley Health. Work Shift: Rotating - Other Compensation Range: $49.67 - $79.47 Night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour! The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position. The Critical Care Float Nurse provides nursing care as part of our interdisciplinary team as needed in the following areas: PCU, ICU, ED, PACU and Mother-Baby Couplet Care in OB (Postpartum). Must be competent to provide care as the primary nurse managing advanced therapies in our rural Intensive Care Unit, while also remaining flexible to float to other departments within the facility.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider (NRP)
  • Emergency Nurses Association - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • At least 3 years experience as an RN.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's (BSN) or Master's (MSN) in Nursing preferred.
  • American Association of Critical-Care Nurses - Critical Care Registered Nurse Adult (CCRN) preferred.
  • ENPC certification preferred.
  • The STABLE Program - STABLE Learner (STABLE) preferred.
  • FCCS and PFCCS certification preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities
