About The Position

A Crisis Stabilization Clinician in a CCBHC provides crisis receiving/stabilization services. These services include urgent care/walk-in mental health and substance use disorder services for individuals seeking services voluntarily. The crisis stabilization center serves as a voluntary and urgent service provider for persons at risk of a mental health or substance abuse crisis. Provides a comprehensive array of services to create access, stabilize people in crisis, and provide appropriate treatment for those with substance use and mental health disorders.

Requirements

  • LMSW, LMHC, LMFT.
  • Experience providing crisis services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
  • Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.

Nice To Haves

  • LCSW or LMHC with Diagnostic Privilege.
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Bilingual in one or more of the following: Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali and others, may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention, therapeutic intervention, group counseling, clinical case management, and consultation services for adults, children, and families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments using standardized tools for suicide risk, brief crisis counseling, individualized risk management/safety planning, psycho-education, discharge planning, and care coordination.
  • Screen clients in stabilization programs to determine the need for emergency services referrals.
  • Provide substance abuse and mental health outpatient services in various settings, including office, school, home, or other clinically appropriate locations.
  • Perform ongoing assessments, case coordination, consultation, and referrals to best meet the identified clinical needs of active clients.
  • Monitor and ensure the safety of clients, providing both planned and emergency services.
  • Facilitate clients' utilization of available support systems and community resources to meet needs identified in clinical evaluations or treatment planning.
  • Meet weekly with a supervisor to discuss program targets, client goals, quality of care, and reporting requirements.
  • Attend case reviews/care coordination meetings to develop next steps for families and clients.
  • Meet data metric requirements and quality of care expectations using traditional social work interventions or evidence-based models.
  • Perform home visits as deemed appropriate or necessary by the treatment plan.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
