About The Position
The Crisis Management Lead at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Crisis and Critical Incident Management and Incident Management and Communications teams. This position is responsible for leading incident response and management for escalated incidents that require corporate-level support. The selected candidate will engage with all lines of business to assess impacts, implement workarounds, coordinate communications, and conduct post-incident reviews. The role requires a strong focus on integrating with global and regional incident response teams, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met, and facilitating communication with regulatory bodies when necessary. In this role, the Crisis Management Lead will manage the day-to-day operations of the crisis response program, providing centralized management and support for escalated incidents impacting the Americas. The position involves overseeing a team dedicated to crisis management, ensuring effective communication and coordination during incidents, and leading efforts to improve processes and program maturity. The candidate will also be responsible for conducting risk assessments, identifying control gaps, and recommending remediation plans to management. Additionally, the role includes facilitating crisis management exercises and training, as well as supporting strategic business continuity initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crisis management within the banking or financial industry, with demonstrated knowledge in emergency management activities. They will be expected to apply business continuity and disaster recovery planning principles effectively across various levels of the organization. The role requires excellent project management skills, advanced analytical abilities, and proficiency in tools necessary for coordinating critical activities during continuity exercises and events. The Crisis Management Lead will also be responsible for driving the socialization and adoption of the enterprise incident response framework and ensuring alignment with enterprise risk management practices.
