About The Position

Lenape Valley Foundation (LVF) is proud to be part of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, a 24/7 national network providing free, confidential support to individuals in emotional distress or suicidal crisis. We have a new opening for a Crisis Hotline Specialist—a vital role in helping people during their most vulnerable moments. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or master’s level candidates seeking hands-on experience in mental health and crisis intervention.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, nursing, education, or related fields
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer proficiency
Ability to meet physical requirements of the role (with or without accommodation)

Responsibilities

Answer incoming 988 Lifeline and Lenape Crisis Hotline calls
Assess caller safety, treatment needs, and referral options
Use crisis intervention skills to engage and support callers
Coordinate warm hand-offs to crisis workers or emergency services
Serve as a resource for hospitals and community providers
Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly
