About The Position

The person occupying this position will be responsible for all clinical content at CAC, CSU, Detox, and Respite. The Crisis Continuum consists of CAC, CSU, Detox, and Respite.

Requirements

  • Masters degree or higher in Psychology, Behavioral Health or related area with an independent license in his/her mental health discipline with experience working in a mental health setting.
  • Certified Medical Assistant certification required.
  • BLS/CPR certification required
  • Ability to work effectively in a crisis service delivery setting dealing with individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • Ability to use mature judgment in problem resolution and to formulate appropriate crisis intervention strategies for Center clients.
  • Must have knowledge of management and organization, and knowledge of professional disciplines.
  • This individual must have training and/or experience in the administration of mental health programs and demonstrated administrative and supervisory ability.
  • The individual in this position has the ability to work with conflicting or competing demands or interests of clients, employees, sponsors in the distribution of work, evaluating work and good program effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and regularly review Clinical Lead report.
  • Monitor openings for Therapists and Discharge Planners.
  • Monitor turnover for Therapists and Discharge Planners and make recommendations to Crisis Director and Management on changes to improve this as needed.
  • Regularly meet with Crisis Clinical Leads to monitor their professional development and goals.
  • Complete annual performance evaluations for Crisis Clinical Leads.
  • Ensure frontline staff performance evaluations are completed by both Clinical Leads and Shift Leads as required. In the absence of a Clinical Lead, these must be completed by Crisis Clinical Manager.
  • Ensure Crisis Clinical Leads are held accountable to priorities and expectations and that they are providing adequate clinical supervision of all non-medical Crisis staff on their shift. In the absence of a Clinical Lead, these must be completed by Crisis Clinical Manager.
  • Serve as the contact for Crisis to complete required or requested community and agency meetings.
  • Regularly review clinical documentation completed by Crisis frontline staff by completing/overseeing Quality Audits as requested by Quality and Training Manager.
  • Maintain logs of all supervision meetings completed with Crisis staff.
  • Complete individual clinical supervision at least twice per month with each non-licensed Clinical Lead (this can be passed off to license supervisor as applicable).
  • Work collaboratively with other Crisis Managers to ensure goals of the Crisis Continuum are met.
  • Work in rotation as Administrator on Call for Crisis.
  • Review and provide recommendations after all incident reviews.
  • Understand and monitor overall outcomes for all clients served, including recidivism.
  • Ensure clinical programming is adequate, and groups are covered in case of absences.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of groups by patient outcomes and reviewing satisfaction scores.
  • Other duties as assigned.
