About The Position

The Adult Home & Community Based Team is seeking a highly organized, self-starting, and energetic individual for a Crisis Bed Specialist role within our residential stabilization program. This program is actively transitioning to an Integrated Crisis Bed Program model by July 2026, merging mental health crisis beds with public inebriate beds to better serve individuals experiencing acute mental health crises and/or active substance use concerns. Crisis Bed Specialists provide direct support based on individual needs, including developing coping skills, symptom management, crisis intervention, safety planning, medication stabilization, connection to resources, and overall wellness. Collaboration with clients’ treatment teams, community partners, and other agencies is essential to support independence and ensure comprehensive care. This role is ideal for someone empathetic, patient, able to manage high-stress situations, and passionate about making a meaningful impact. We are looking to fill the following shift (updated February 2026): Sunday – Tuesday and every other Saturday (7:00 pm – 7:00 am) At NCSS, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes perks such as medical and dental coverage, an employer-matched retirement plan, and educational support. Requirements

  • Strong team player able to collaborate with internal and external providers
  • Support adults in crisis, with the goal of reducing psychiatric hospitalizations and Emergency Department use
  • Support individuals under the influence while maintaining safety
  • Flexible schedule
  • Ability to transport clients
  • Associate’s Degree; or equivalent combination of related education, training and experience such as relevant certificate from college or technical school.
