About The Position

The Department of Criminology in the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Education at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors in criminology and criminal justice. Applications for part-time positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis which may include fall, spring and summer. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice (or closely related discipline) required; Doctorate preferred. A law degree does not substitute for a Master's Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice.

Responsibilities

  • Teach introductory courses in criminology and criminal justice.
  • Follow department requirements for syllabi and other course related materials.
  • Teach course(s) according to department guidelines.
  • Provide meeting times for students.
  • Complete course grading and submit final grades on the on-line system.
