About The Position

The Criminal Justice Program is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented student worker to support the development of a comprehensive template for evaluating and awarding transfer credits for police academy completion requirements across all U.S. states. The student worker will gather, organize, and synthesize information on state-level academy standards to assist faculty in determining appropriate credit equivalencies.

Requirements

  • Strong Internet research skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to interpret and compile information from state government sources.
  • No physical labor involved.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Internet-based research on police academy standards in each state.
  • Collect and organize information to support credit evaluation.
  • Compile data into clear and usable formats for faculty review.
  • Identify and document governing bodies, primary contacts (name, phone, email, title), links to academy curricula, and any other pertinent data.
