About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the CJIS Manager I, this position is responsible for assisting with the administration and resolution of operational and management problems as they relate to criminal justice information. Additionally, this position provides research and analysis relative to state and national laws, rules and regulations that directly and indirectly impact the maintenance or dissemination of criminal justice information. This position must meet and maintain National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC) certification as required and is responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of data housed within the department databases.

Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough research and analysis of information from multiple resources to formulate a recommendation on administrative, operational and systematic issues or enhancements
• Monitoring systems for operational concerns and immediately consults with management and appropriate technical staff to correct issues or programmatic concerns
• Conducting research and analysis for special projects related to the division strategic goals or as assigned by management
• Maintaining liaison with local, state and federal agencies and the general public by means of telephone, correspondence or personal contact
• Performing other related duties and functions as assigned
