Joining the Secret Service as a Special Agent allows you to perform critical protective and investigative assignments. The role involves conducting criminal investigations, providing protection for various protectees, and planning security for National Special Security Events. Special Agents may also have the opportunity to join the Counter Assault Team (CAT), which provides tactical support for high-level protectees, including the President and Vice President of the United States.
