About The Position

Technical and administrative duties involved in the collecting, documenting, and preserving of evidence at a crime scene; and related work as required. Shift, weekend, and holiday work is required.

Requirements

• High School graduation or G.E.D.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Permanent status as a Crime Scene Investigation Specialist Associate with the City of New Orleans and one year of crime scene experience, OR two (2) years of full-time experience in crime scene investigation.
• Sixty (60) credit hours from an accredited college or university with at least twelve (12) credit hours in Criminal Justice, Chemistry, Biology, Forensic Science, or a closely related scientific field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
