About The Position

Makes clinical determination of mental status, suicidality, homicidality, or self-neglect of persons who present to the CRF or RC Responsible for screening, assessment, and discharge planning for persons receiving services at the CRF or RC Conducts individual and/or family sessions as well as leading group therapeutic activities for adults and children receiving inpatient services Obtains collateral information from persons who are familiar with the client in order to assess the level of risk Refers to licensed provider for involuntary assessment as needed. Assists patients with setting up outpatient appointments or with referrals to external community resources Assists with completion of emergency screenings for services as needed Provides information regarding mental health and substance use diagnosis and treatments Provides crisis de-escalation assistance to individuals in inpatient services Performs transfer evaluations per Baker Act law as needed Completes up-to-date documentation in accordance with the internal and external audit standards. Position requires less than 10% travel

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (BA/BS) or Master’s (MA/MS) degree in a Human Services or related field required
  • Compensation will be aligned with the appropriate pay grade based on degree level (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working with individuals in behavioral health.
  • Must maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct, while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and display appropriate work demeanor and boundaries.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • Ability to use a computer and learn the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pass Level II Background clearance, drug test (CBHC is a drug free workplace)

  • Experience working with individuals in crisis or substance abuse is preferred.
