About The Position

Here is your chance to work at a brand-NEW restaurant! We are now hiring for both full and part-time positions. Management and leadership opportunities are also available! While we are new to the Willoughby area, we are an established Brand with over 1200 cafes! Tropical Smoothie café was born on a beach where people know how to live. We like things fun and playful, sunny and bright. Shake your shoes off and turn the music up! Our mission is to inspire a healthier lifestyle by serving amazing food and smoothies…with a bit of tropical fun. We’re looking for fun, energetic crew members to help us spread some sunshine.

Requirements

• Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines.
• Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.
• Bending, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice or taking out trash.
• Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers.
• Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with crew members and customers using 'Tropitude' (Tropitude is our 'mojo' and what makes Tropical Smoothie Café fun and different and means having energy and creating a positive atmosphere).
• Delivers ‘Unparalleled Hospitality’ to each customer that visits our cafe.
• Prepares ingredients for our food and smoothies.
• Assembles and serves fresh food and smoothies prepared to Tropical Smoothie Cafés standards.
• Ensures each station is operating to Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s standards.
• Cleans and organizes kitchen, workstations, dining room, restrooms, and any other areas in the cafe.
• Follows the steps to operate the register, including taking customer orders, accurately handling cash, and being responsible for the drawer.
• Follows all safety and security policies set by the brand.
• Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the café.
