About The Position

This position organizes schedules for pilots and ensures that they are utilized efficiently and comply with FAA Regulations and pilot CBA. Additionally, crew schedulers manage crewmember bids and coordinate training events according to the training schedule.

Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
General knowledge of aviation and previous airline experience preferred
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Must be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes under pressure situations
Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
Must be a team player
Must exhibit exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and must embody the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit

Responsibilities

Organize daily schedules for pilots ensuring that they are utilized efficiently and comply with FAA Regulations and the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Reschedules crewmembers as a result of irregular operations, mechanical, weather, sick calls, crew legalities, etc., in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
Complies with TSA advanced information system requirements for crewmembers on a daily basis (e-APIS).
Meets with Director of Crew Scheduling weekly with 30 day outlook for coverage
Secures hotel accommodations, in conjunction with Crew Travel Manager, for crewmembers during irregular operations on short notice.
Works with Capacity Planning team to assist with changes in flight schedules
Coordinates training events with the Training Department.
Coordinates regional transition of aircraft.
Processes all pilot request forms (Shift Drop, Shift Add, Swap, Silver Bullet etc.) and ensures any resulting needs for coverage are met
Plans future coverage systemwide by managing open assignments and pilot schedules
Prepares various reports on crewmember sick calls, irregularities, and other daily operational information.
Prepares reports on use of SVT/Part Time/ On Call pilots usage and efficiency
Coordinates with Flight Followers during irregular operations to ensure effective operational performance
Completes daily turnover summarizing the next day operational plan
Completes Internal Department Turnover at the end of each work week
