As a Crew Leader, you will oversee daily landscaping operations and lead a field crew to deliver high-quality results. This hands-on role is responsible for supervising a landscaping crew of 2-5 employees, coordinating tasks, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, takes pride in quality work, and enjoys leading teams in an outdoor, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2–3 years of landscaping or grounds maintenance experience
  • Prior experience leading or supervising a crew
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, equipment, and safety practices
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License and the ability to pass an MVR check
  • Ability to perform physical work in all weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial landscaping, HOAs, or large property maintenance
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
  • Experience training and mentoring crew members
  • Ability to read site plans, work orders, or schedules
  • Basic knowledge of irrigation systems or landscape enhancements
  • Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment
  • Interest in career growth into operations management or account management roles

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise landscaping crew members during daily maintenance and/or installation activities
  • Plan and assign daily tasks to ensure productivity, quality, and safety
  • Perform landscaping work including mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, pruning, and clean-up as needed
  • Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and client expectations
  • Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce company safety policies
  • Operate and oversee use of landscaping equipment and tools
  • Inspect equipment and vehicles and report maintenance needs
  • Communicate job progress, issues, and material needs with supervisors or account managers
  • Maintain accurate time tracking, job documentation, and site reports
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and property stakeholders
  • Understanding client needs while meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Managing multiple services that can include any of the following: spray operations, fertilization, maintenance production, tree care, and irrigation
  • Planning, organizing and managing work for crew members at each client site location
  • Conducting safety, equipment and timekeeping training
  • Performing other tasks as assigned
