This is a full-time position and receives all benefits afforded to regular employees. Park Maintenance operates 365 days a year. Holidays and events require flexibility in scheduling. The position generally works weekdays from 7am to 4pm with a one hour lunch break, but may occasionally work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. This position generally works in an outdoor environment and must be able to work in extreme weather conditions that may include rain, wind, heat, and cold. The employee may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, and machinery with moving parts. Work requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc. The employee will be exposed to insect such as mosquitos, gnats, wasps, etc. The work consists of related supervisory and technical maintenance duties. This position may be needed to provide assistance during countywide emergency situations. Summary: This position is responsible for supervising and participating in the maintenance of county parks and recreation facilities.
