About The Position
The position serves as a working leader for a small crew engaged in the layout of streets for marking. The role involves operating thermo-plastic machines, striping machines, and other pavement marking equipment. Responsibilities include painting traffic markings, crosswalks, stop lines, and installing traffic buttons or reflectors. The position also assists in sign maintenance and installations, may confer with citizens on sign installations, inspects the city for substandard markings or signage, keeps records of sign installation, services vehicles, and is responsible for the safe transporting of workers and equipment to job sites. Additionally, the role ensures the maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of all assigned equipment.
