About The Position

SUMMARY: Guides and assists the production crews in activities concerned with production of company product(s) by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization.
• Ability to read, speak and write English.
• Ability to perform simple math; addition, subtraction, division.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Certified on all machinery and equipment used by their crews.
• HACCP for CCP positions Certification.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Supervisors and Management to ensure production activities are staffed appropriately and in a cost effective manner.
• Supervises crews or work groups to ensure department goals are met.
• Maintains and records information appropriately for their department.
• Ensures their crews work safely and follow all GMP’s, Food Safety and Quality regulations and policies.
• Monitors supplies/inventory on hand and determine order points to avoid running out when appropriate.
• Fills in at work stations to relieve crew members and/or Supervisors for breaks.
