About The Position

The Lot Operations Specialist II is responsible for organizing and maintaining the placement of vehicles within the designated zone or move area to the defined standard established by lot operations leadership. Daily tasks include utilizing information from the Supervisor and Lot Ops dashboards to make move decisions for staging their assigned zone area. The role involves continuous improvement efforts related to safety and efficient movement of vehicles in and out of the assigned zone area. Responsibilities also include moving vehicles to their proper work destinations, confirming vehicle operability, labeling vehicles for accurate movements, and communicating with crew leaders and managers regarding inventory levels. The position requires setting an example in behavior by championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring respectful treatment of all employees. Adherence to company policies and safety procedures is essential, and the role may require overtime as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift 1-15 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic mechanical knowledge (e.g., identifying flat tires, low gas).
  • Knowledge of lot operations/lot layout.
  • Knowledge of LDM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain vehicle placement within the designated zone.
  • Utilize Supervisor and Lot Ops dashboards for move decisions.
  • Implement continuous improvement efforts for safety and efficiency.
  • Move and stage vehicles safely to eliminate multiple drop-off points.
  • Confirm operability of vehicles and engage service teams when necessary.
  • Label vehicles with sale and routing labels for accurate movements.
  • Communicate inventory status with crew leaders and managers.
  • Champion Cox/Manheim values and ensure respectful treatment of employees.
  • Follow all safety and health procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
