To learn more about Acacia, please visit our website at www.TrustAcacia.com Job Summary: The Crew Leader will operate Medium-Duty Trucks and trailers, commercial mowers and landscaping equipment, snowplows, salters, and large construction equipment including loaders and skid steers to clear snow. The crew leader will be responsible for training and overseeing 2-4 additional crew members and performing landscaping maintenance, lawn care, pruning, mulching, cleanups, planting, snow removal, and salting for a scheduled route. Work will involve operating the truck and trailer to scheduled stops and mowing grass, weed abatement, pruning plants, and trees, cleanup of the grounds including blowing off parking lots, hardscapes, and sidewalk areas, and picking up all trash on the property. The truck driver position requires the ability to navigate traffic, be organized, log correct information, have alert driving senses, and safely navigate while towing a large trailer. The position requires a lot of walking, working under strenuous conditions, and operating various types of power equipment and large equipment to accomplish the required tasks. You will need to be able to bend over to pick up and move heavy items that weigh up to 50 pounds. During the winter season, you will be on-call to work for the duration of all winter weather events. You will operate wheel loaders, specialized machinery, and medium-duty trucks to perform plowing, salting, and deicer applications to parking lots and sidewalks. You will perform pre-treat salting before a snow event, and you will perform “ice-checks” and apply deicers to treat any residual snow or ice for days after a snow event. You may also be required to perform snow shoveling and snow plowing. During winter weather, you will not be mowing or performing summer landscaping tasks, but you will still be required to hand porter parking lots and landscaping areas, and clean up landscaping areas and prune trees and shrubbery.
