The Aquatic Services Crew Leader provides oversight and work direction to assigned Aquatic Specialists who are responsible for executing pond and lake management tasks for our customers. This position is responsible for communicating with customers regarding ongoing management programs, scheduling and assigning work to the Aquatic Specialists, assessing the performance of the Aquatic Specialists, and assuring that all work is being conducted safely and to the company standards. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0-1 years experience in customer service field or possess a related technical background
  • Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, reaching forward.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 lbs
  • NYS DEC Pesticide Applicators license categories 5A and 5B preferred
  • The work requires strenuous physical exertion and the employee may be required to drive, stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time, as well as see, talk, hear and use hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach, and feel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in a repetitive manner.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

  • Be the point of contact for customer inquiries
  • Supervise both full-time and temporary labor staff
  • Provide coaching and development
  • Schedule with clients and assign work assignments to Aquatic Specialists
  • Obtain all necessary NYS DEC licenses and certifications for the application of aquatic pesticides
  • Ensure proper supply and use of appropriate PPE, as required
  • Ensure that all work is conducted in a safe manner
  • Follow all company processes and procedures as well as those required by the customer
  • The ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced and multi-tasked job is a must
  • Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort
  • Has respect and understanding of co-workers and customers
  • Understand customer needs and expectations
  • Attention to detail, thorough and conscientious
  • Properly document activities to customers and state agencies, as required
  • Communicate with coworkers to ensure proper coordination of efforts to exceed customer expectations
  • Related experience is a plus and we will provide on-the-job training
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 lbs
  • Must comply with customer security and other onsite requirements
  • Other duties may be assigned
